For this roofing project, we were tasked with upgrading the dormer’s roofing system to ensure long-term durability, functionality, and minimal maintenance. We began by installing a new GRP dry valley roof system to both valleys of the dormer, providing a strong, waterproof barrier to prevent water ingress. This system is an excellent choice for its long lifespan and resistance to weather-related damage.

Next, we installed a new breathable membrane and treated battens, ensuring the roof remains well-ventilated while also offering superior protection from moisture buildup. We carefully reinstalled the existing roof tiles, replacing any broken ones to maintain the roof’s integrity and visual appeal.

To further enhance the roof’s performance, we added a new dry verge system to the dormer, which ensures a secure, weatherproof finish while eliminating the need for traditional mortar. The new dry ridge system was also installed, including new ridges on both the main roof and the dormer. This system is mechanically fixed, providing a strong, maintenance-free solution while also allowing for proper roof ventilation.

All of these systems—the dry ridge, verge, and valley—are designed to be maintenance-free, reducing the need for ongoing upkeep and ensuring the roof remains weatherproof and durable for years to come. This comprehensive installation improves the roof’s functionality, longevity, and aesthetic appeal, making it a lasting investment in the property.
