This project involved a complete roof replacement for a property situated on a busy high street, requiring careful planning and execution. Due to the location, obtaining a permit was necessary to ensure safe and compliant work, minimizing disruption to both pedestrians and local businesses.

For the roofing material, we installed new grey slates, chosen for their durability, sleek appearance, and ability to withstand the elements. Grey slate is not only a long-lasting solution but also enhances the building’s aesthetic with a modern yet timeless finish. To further improve the roof’s resilience and ventilation, we fitted a new dry ridge system. This maintenance-free system eliminates the need for traditional mortar, preventing cracking over time while ensuring a secure and weatherproof ridge.

In addition to the slates and dry ridge system, we carried out all-new lead work, reinforcing key areas to prevent water ingress and improve the overall longevity of the structure. Lead is a crucial element in roofing, offering flexibility and exceptional resistance to the elements, making it a vital component for a long-lasting, weatherproof installation.
